My Story

My name is Alexandria, and I am a bilingual Chicana doula rooted in Lemon Grove, CA. I am blessed to be a mother of two radiant daughters—Lucia, my adventurous two-year-old, and Evaluna, my sweet little one who completes our circle.

My experiences with pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and lactation were like night and day.

With my first, I gave birth within the medical system—surrounded by interventions I never intended to choose. I was led by fear and uncertainty, without the resources or preparation I truly needed. Though I had envisioned a different path, I found myself pushed toward an epidural, induction, and formula feeding. I said yes to things my heart wanted to resist, simply because I didn’t know how to say no. At this time there was COVID restrictions, my partner and I were isolated and didn't have someone to help us advocate for what we wanted.

I grieved the birth I had hoped for. I knew deep down there had to be another way—a way rooted in trust, in ancestral wisdom, and in the natural strength we carry as birthing people. I began to question why the system so often works against us, and why we’re not supported to birth as generations before us did—with patience and power.

When I became pregnant again, I was determined to reclaim my story. I immersed myself in research, sought out aligned support, and chose an out-of-hospital birth surrounded by midwives and a doula. That experience awakened a power in me that had always been there—waiting to rise.

This is my story of an empowered birth—but empowered birth looks different for everyone.
My mission is to help you birth on your terms. That doesn’t have to mean an unmedicated home birth. It means feeling strong in your decisions, heard in your voice, and safe in your body—wherever and however your birth unfolds.

My calling is to support mothers in reclaiming the sacred power of birth. I believe bringing life into the world is one of the most transformative journeys we are given & it is our birthright to experience. I use elements from my Mexican ancestral roots to be a birth companion and a member of your village. --Llevo conmigo la herencia y la fuerza de mi madre, abuela y bisabuelas; por ellas honro este trabajo.

I also carry deep awareness that maternal support and healthcare are often not where they should be— this is especially true for marginalized groups. It is my honor to help bridge that gap, to walk beside you, and to hold space so that you may enter your birthing journey with trust, confidence, and connection to your inner wisdom. Unidas en fuerza y corazón, transformamos la experiencia de traer nueva vida.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. It’s an honor to be considered as part of your journey.
Whether our paths align or not, you are worthy of the birth you envision—held, respected, and rooted in your power.
