Insurance Information

To better serve the community, I work with select insurance plans—feel free to reach out to see if yours is accepted.

I am in partnership with Raya Health. If you are interested in using insurance benefits please submit a inquiry with Raya Health, be sure to mention my name: Alexandria Nunez Thomas. If you would like to work together. 

 

 

I am currently contracted with these insurance plans:

  • Kaiser Permanente (All plans)

  • HealthNet (All plans)

  • Partnership Healthplan of California (All plans)

  • SHARP Health Plan

  • Partnership Health Plan

  • Anthem Blue Cross (Medi-Cal)

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield Promise Plan (Medi-Cal)

  • CalViva Health Cares (Medi-Cal)

  • L.A. Cares (Medi-Cal)

  • Community Health Group

  • United Healthcare (Reimbursement only)

  • Molina Health Plan (Medi-Cal and Covered CA)

  • Scripps Health Plan

  • Inland Empire Health Plan (Medi-Cal and Covered CA)

  • Kern Health Systems (Medi-Cal)

  • HSA/FSA Plans

I am not currently contracted with the following plans, but I am in the process of pursuing agreements: Tricare West, Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield (Commercial).

Please note that contracting with insurance providers can be unpredictable, so I’m unable to provide a specific timeline for when these plans may be accepted. In the meantime, I offer sliding scale fees and flexible payment plans. I am also open to barter arrangements.

What do insurances cover?

All of the insurance plans listed above include:

  • One initial visit (90 minutes)

  • Eight prenatal and/or postpartum visits (60 minutes each)

  • Labor support with on-call services beginning at 37 weeks

  • Two extended postpartum visits (3 hours each)

Medi-Cal only: Option to extend care with an additional 9 visits (60 minutes each)

Please note: Services expire once the baby turns one year old.

Not covered by insurance:
Placenta encapsulation, closing of the bones ceremonies, belly binding, and pelvic steaming.
